Durres Port
Durres is a Mediterranean port of the Adriatic sea, situated in a strategical position only 40km from Tirana, the capital of Albania. A similar distance takes you to Kruja a town situated up on a mountain which still preserves an imposing fortress and a medieval bazaar.
Possible visits from Durres port of call are:
- Durres itself being one of the oldest Albanian town founded in 7th century B.C. Remains of amphitheatre, forum, walls, and a rich archaeological museum.
- Tirana, the capital of the country, is a modern city, with a Mediterranean feel to it. A great example of Albania’s mixed recent history and a great place to learn about the Albanian communist isolation years.
- Kruja, the centre of resistance during the Ottoman invasions where Albanian forces under the legendary National Hero Scanderbeg resisted for more than 25 years, stopping Ottoman progress into Europe.
- Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage town for its exceptional architecture.

Saranda Port
Saranda is the most southern town of Albania situated on the bay with the same name across the straight of Corfu only 3 nautical miles from the later. It is one of the sunniest places in Albania with around 320 sunny days per year, so a stop there will likely be on a beautiful day. Its position geographically close to two of Albania’s UNESCO protected sites, Butrint only 20km and Gjirokastra 55 km make it one of the most sought-after ports of call in Albania.

Vlora Port
Vlora is a city situated on the horseshoe shaped bay with the same name, where the Adriatic and Ionian seas meet. One hundred years ago played a crucial role in the most important moment in Albanian history, becoming the town where Albanian Independence from the Ottoman Empire was finally proclaimed.
